August was the busiest month yet thanks to my first wedding order! Aside from that huge order, I had regular orders throughout the month.

My First Wedding
In the middle of the month, I had my first wedding order for 700 cake balls. Yes, 700. Cake. Balls.
I was very intimidated to take this order because I honestly wasn’t sure if I could do it. I’m always up for a challenge, and this was a challenge. I was up 23 hours to finish these up after my day job, but I got them done!
The customer kindly sent me the picture above so I could see how they displayed them at the wedding. Isn’t that a great idea?
This order consisted of:
Strawberry cake balls with a coral dip and white drizzle
Vanilla cake with a white dip and edible pearls
Raspberry cake with a silver dip and silver glitter dusting
Chocolate cake with a navy dip and a silver glitter dusting
I got to test out a new recipe for the raspberry cake balls, which I can now put on the menu. I loved making this order and it led to another wedding order!
If you’re looking for a large quantity of cake balls for an event or wedding, please check out the “Large Orders” page for the pricing.
Chocolate Cake Balls
I loved the colors for this order. This was a “you can choose the color” type of order, so I picked a color that I rarely used. These were chocolate cake balls dipped in white with a white and orange drizzle.
Vanilla Cake Balls
This bright and colorful order went out to a family dinner party. These vanilla cake balls were dipped in white with rainbow sprinkles on the top. The customer even gave a great review on our Facebook page because of these!
Pineapple Upside Down Cake Balls
The Pineapple Upside Down cake balls are my most asked about cake balls. These were pineapple cake with a cherry center, dipped in white with a red drizzle. This order actually brought me in more orders at the same location, which is awesome!
Cincinnati Cake Balls
These chocolate and vanilla cake balls were decorated to match the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals team colors for a Cincinnati sports-themed birthday party. The chocolate cake balls were dipped in chocolate with an orange drizzle. The vanilla cake balls were dipped in white with a red drizzle.
Colorful Cake Balls
This was another order where the customer let me pick the drizzle colors. These were strawberry cake balls (my favorite!) dipped in white with blue and yellow drizzle.
Tune in next month to see what else I’ve created! I have a few more weddings booked as well as bridal showers, so you don’t want to miss what’s next.
If you have anything you’d like me to try (or if you’d like to order), please send the idea or recipe to email@example.com and you might just see the recipe on this site soon!
